Meet our family
We are a familiy business working from our office on the border of Bedfordshire and Cambridgshire. We have four children, three still living at home - life is very busy! At the very core of our accountancy practice is our belief in fairness and inclusion. This is of particular importance to us as one of our children has both learning and physical disabilities (and is is utterly awsesome!). We like to run our business with the same ethics we apply to our personal lives; by ensuring everyone gets the support they need and that everyone is treated fairly. We chose only to work with clients who hold similar values; those who wish to run their businesess ethically and fairly - we think the world can be a lovely place if we all treat each other with kindness.
Simon Bail
I am an experienced Accountant focusing on our sole trader clients from bookkeeping, year end accounts and self-assessment tax returns.
I particularly enjoy helping clients to manage their records, improve their processes and increase efficiency because it means they can spend more time running their business instead of staring at paperwork.
I find my background of working in a range of industries from healthcare, telecoms and recruitment helps me to understand our different types of clients.

The rest of the team
Behind Emma and Simon is a small team helping to keep everything running smoothly and making sure our clients are well looked after.
Our Bookkeeper supports clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping, helping to keep records accurate, up to date and organised throughout the year. Having good information throughout the year means we can spend less time looking backwards and more time helping our clients understand how their business is performing.
Our Office Manager keeps everything moving behind the scenes – looking after administration, keeping track of deadlines and making sure the right information gets to the right person at the right time.
We deliberately keep our team small. It means we get to know our clients and their businesses properly and can provide the friendly, personal service that is so important to us.
Emma Bail CGMA
I am a qualified Accountant with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and founded Evolve Accounting from our home in St. Neots, near Cambridge in 2014 after the birth of my first baby.
Before starting Evolve Accounting, I worked for a number of high-profile large organisations in a range of industries including manufacturing, retail, recruitment and fine art so I have a lot of experience across many business sectors.
My passion has always been small business. My Dad is a small business owner, I grew up understanding the hard work it takes to get a small business off the ground and just how many different hats a small business owner must wear.
My focus is to support my clients with all financial aspects of their business; from annual accounts, tax returns and a valuable advisory service to help clients to understand their financial reports and the impact they have on their business.
